We are a vibrant society with around 50-80 members with between 40 and 60 of them attending the monthly meetings.

Meetings

We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm at The Croft School (July, August & December excepted)

Our next meeting is on 16th January 2024 when Tony Conder will give a talk on 'Gloucestershire and the Slave Trade'

Publications and Exhibitions

We have recently added links to PDF files of Chronicles Nos 1, 2 & 3 which are out of print which can be found on the Publications page and PDF files of some of our recent exhibition displays on the Exhibitions page.

The latest edition of the Painswick Chronicle, No 26, has just been issued with articles on the following:

Painswick in the 1921 census - a look at how it had changed since 1911.

Transcriptions of Painswick Inventories from the 17th and 18th Centuries have now been uploaded and can found on the Research Resosurces page
